UFO Siting
Date: June 17, 2014 (Between 6 and 7 p.m.)
Location: Gorham, Maine (near Sabago Lake)
Cellphone photo was taken by the little girl's mother. She said the UFO hovered above the tree line and made no noise. Before she could take another picture, the object accelerated vertically at high speed and disappeared.

Conclusion: The possibility exists that these images represent a commercial aircraft at too far a distance and too great an altitude to be adequately resolved by the camera used. Despite my best efforts to identify the anomaly in both photos, in my judgment, the nature of these objects remains indeterminate, and therefore qualifies as a UFO by definition. Thank you for referring these images for analysis; it is always my pleasure to be of assistance in matters such as these.

Witness Statement: I was taking pictures of cloud formations while walking our dog, Molly. I didn't notice anything unusual in the sky during the walk. When I returned home and uploaded the digital photos to my computer, I employed the Microsoft Gallery editing features to study enlarged versions of the photos. That's when I noticed an anomaly that appeared in each of two photos of the same cloud formation. The photos were taken facing SSW less than two minutes apart from slightly different positions on the sidewalk.
Below are cropped and enlarged photos of Disc 1 and Disc 2 and their unedited original photographs.
I asked our SCOPE NJ photo/video analyst, Joel Mindas, to review and conduct an analysis of the photos. Accordingly, he submitted the excellent Still-Photo Review I included on this page.
